The Sober Therapeutic Housing Program (STHP) The STHP is the third phase of our Treatment and Recovery Continuum. During this phase, the focus shifts to residents applying the tools needed for sustained sobriety in an affordable, sober housing community. The program emphasizes that STHP supports individuals who have made progress through structured treatment and are prepared to transition into a supportive housing environment that promotes long-term recovery, stability, and independence.

Who Is Eligible?
This program serves single men and women ages 21-65 who have completed Phases 1 and 2 of Nuvaya's ASAM 3.5 and 3.1 clinical treatment programs or have completed an equivalent program from another provider. Potential residents must have 3-6 months of sobriety, looking for employment or employed. Potential residents must be willing to comply with program expectations which include the following: a) attend SUD Outpatient Treatment 2-3 sessions/week, b) go to self-help groups, e.g. NA/AA 3-5 meetings per week, c) save 30% of earnings in Nuvaya escrow, d) attend 1 mental health individual or group session per week, e) attend 3 life skill groups per week.

- Individual care plans: Weekly therapy and goal setting with staff who coordinate referrals for medical, behavior health, and social services.
- Evidence-based therapies: Access to trauma-informed care, relapse prevention strategies, and life skill groups that promote sustained sobriety.
- Practical life skills: Workshops and coaching in job readiness, financial management, and daily living skills to prepare you for independent living.
- Peer support and community: A sober, caring environment where residents support one another and build healthy routines.
- Housing and aftercare planning: Assistance finding transitional or permanent housing and referrals to community resources to sustain progress after discharge.
