Washington, DC (December 10, 2021) – This year’s annual Clark/Davis Breakfast, held on December 2 at the National Building Museum, raised more than $50,000 for Nuvaya, a nonprofit combating homelessness and addiction. Since the event began in 2014, more than $400,000 has been raised and used for construction, renovation, and refurbishment projects throughout Nuvaya’ eight properties.
“We are so grateful for the support of Clark and Davis, two of the leading construction companies in the region,” said Lauren C. Vaughan, President & CEO, Nuvaya. “While competitors in the market, they are united in their commitment to supporting the mission of Nuvaya.”
Clark and Davis, long-standing supporters of Nuvaya, pick a venue that has significance to the company each year and invite their subcontractors to support their efforts for Nuvaya. The first year the event was at the National Cathedral; DAVIS Construction handled the restoration after the earthquake. Other venues included the Bible Museum (which Clark built), and the Intercontinental Hotel at the Wharf (a DAVIS project).

Mike Alto, Nuvaya Board Chair, Division President, Mid-Atlantic Region, Clark Construction, Lauren C. Vaughan, President & CEO, Nuvaya, and Jim Davis, Nuvaya Board Member and President & CEO, Davis Construction gather at the Clark and Davis Breakfast in support of Nuvaya (wearing each other’s hard hats in support of their collaboration).
